Last updated: July 2026 · ParentTravelPal, an Apps 4 That LLC app.
The short version: we are built to collect as little as possible. The app keeps your family's information encrypted on your own device. This website does not ask for a child's name, child account, child roster, behavior log, or trip profile, and stores nothing about a child.
This website
When you use the free coach on this website:
- The free coach and Game Mode picker do not ask for your child's name, and we keep no child profile, trip, behavior log, or child history.
- The only thing you can optionally provide is a coarse age band (for example, "ages 7–9"). It is kept in your browser for that session only and is cleared when you leave. It is not tied to any identity and is not sent anywhere.
- The coach runs entirely in your browser. What you tap is not sent to our servers and is not saved to your device or ours.
- If you create a ParentTravelPal account, we store adult account information such as your name, email, signed-in session, travel-group membership, invite status, and entitlement status. This lets one household subscription unlock for invited adults in the same travel group.
- If you buy Game Mode or Traveler, checkout is handled by Stripe. We receive payment status, the plan purchased, customer/subscription identifiers, and renewal/cancellation status so we can unlock the right account or travel group. We do not receive or store your card number.
- If you sign up for Traveler updates, we collect your email address, your consent choices, and optional non-identifying trip/rhythm selectors. We use Resend for the email list and a private GitHub issue fallback for delivery/audit. We do not ask for or store child names, child profiles, behavior notes, or trip details on the web.
- We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free page and event counts. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics that profile you.
- Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as standard web-request records) for security and reliability. These are not used to build a profile of you.
Traveler and the mobile app
The Traveler web toolkit is child-data-free: it gives general airport, car, hotel, restaurant, trip-planning, and routine scripts without asking for a child's details. The ParentTravelPal mobile app is designed to be on-device first:
- Your children's information (a nickname and age band), trips, behavior notes, and rewards are stored encrypted on your device. We do not collect them, and we do not have a server that holds them.
- No advertising SDKs, tracking cookies, or advertising identifiers. Plausible only gives aggregate, cookie-free counts.
- You can export or delete your data at any time, right from the app.
- Sign-in (where used) is only to protect access on your device; it is not used to gather your family's data.
Children's privacy
ParentTravelPal is intended for a parent or guardian to set up and use. It is not directed to children, and it is designed so that information about a child stays on the parent's device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. On this website, no information about a child is collected at all.
Where we operate
ParentTravelPal is intended for use by families in the United States. It is not directed to, or intended for, users outside the United States.
